Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum processors with classical architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI, materials science, and cybersecurity divisions
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Published record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum annealing tools like D-Wave
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental implementations
- Experience securing federal research grants and managing multi-million dollar budgets
- Strong background in superconducting qubit systems or topological quantum computing
- Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in commercializing quantum innovations
