Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes using advanced cryogenic systems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier scientific journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure external research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with superconducting qubits
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or IEEE Transactions
- Experience with quantum circuit optimization and error mitigation
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Validated problem-solving skills with quantum information theory
