Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum algorithms for commercial applications
- Lead quantum hardware-software co-design initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate quantum theory into enterprise solutions
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DoD partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates and publish 3+ high-impact papers annually
- Drive quantum security protocols for financial and healthcare sectors
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years experience with superconducting qubits or trapped ion systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Clearable DoD security clearance (or ability to obtain)
