Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge theoretical models with physical qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives in quantum cryptography and secure communications
- Publish findings in Nature Physics/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NSF quantum computing grants
- Mentor PhD interns from Stanford and Caltech quantum programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Computational Mathematics
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulators
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
- Demonstrated understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence phenomena
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion trap technologies
- Clearance for DoD quantum research projects preferred
