Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at cryogenic temperatures
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at major quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional teams on quantum computing principles
- Secure research funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum information science or related fields
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion trap technologies
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
