Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop quantum-resistant cybersecurity protocols
- Publish 2-3 peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum error correction techniques
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants through NSF/NIH proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Translate quantum research into commercial IP portfolios
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in top-tier journals on quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in quantum annealing or superconducting qubit architectures
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
