Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Lead research on quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise solutions
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory fundamentals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development using frameworks like Qiskit or Cirq
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum hardware architectures including superconducting qubits or ion traps
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
