Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and engineers in prototyping quantum circuits
- Publish findings in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NSF grant funding for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates on quantum machine learning applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years experience with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in Python/C++ for quantum circuit simulation
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and entanglement principles
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware (e.g., D-Wave, IBM Q)
- Strong track record of securing research grants
