Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in designing and implementing quantum computing architectures for 2026 use cases
- Develop novel quantum algorithms targeting optimization and simulation challenges in finance, logistics, and materials science
- Establish strategic research partnerships with academic institutions and quantum hardware pioneers
- Translate theoretical quantum computing concepts into scalable, production-ready solutions
- Secure and manage research grants totaling $5M+ annually from government and private sources
- Mentor PhD-level researchers and publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals
- Define roadmap for quantum cloud services integration with classical computing infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Computer Science with 8+ years of industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals or equivalent quantum computing breakthroughs
- Expertise in quantum error correction, fault-tolerant systems, and quantum circuit optimization
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware platforms (superconducting, ion traps, photonic)
- Experience leading $10M+ R&D projects with measurable commercial impact
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and HPC environments
- Strong background in machine learning and classical-quantum hybrid systems
- Ability to articulate complex quantum concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
