Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography optimization and molecular simulation
- Manage and mentor a cross-functional team of 8-12 quantum physicists and software engineers
- Collaborate with IBM, Google, and MIT on quantum error correction protocols
- Drive patent development for proprietary quantum gate architectures
- Present breakthrough findings at global quantum conferences (Q2B, IEEE Quantum Week)
- Oversee $2M annual research budget and vendor partnerships
- Develop quantum cloud integration strategies for enterprise clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum computing research experience with superconducting qubits
- Published work in Nature/Science journals on quantum algorithms
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Proven track record of leading high-impact technical teams
- Strong background in quantum machine learning applications
- Experience securing DoD or NSF quantum research grants
- Active membership in IEEE Quantum Computing Task Force
