Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead a cross-functional team of 10+ researchers in quantum hardware/software integration
- Develop strategic roadmaps for quantum computing applications in finance, logistics, and healthcare
- Secure and manage $5M+ in research grants from federal and private sources
- Partner with Fortune 500 clients to deploy quantum solutions for complex business problems
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Drive innovation in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant system design
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in quantum computing with published research in Nature/Science
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, ion trap)
- Experience leading technical teams of 10+ researchers
- Strong background in machine learning and classical HPC systems
- Patents in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
