Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography and optimization challenges
- Manage cross-functional research teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Collaborate with industry partners to prototype quantum applications for 2026 deployment
- Secure federal and private research funding through grant proposals
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Drive quantum hardware integration with classical computing systems
- Develop ethical frameworks for quantum technology deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience securing $1M+ in research grants
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Demonstrated leadership managing technical teams of 10+ researchers
- Knowledge of quantum security protocols and NIST standards
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies preferred
