Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead a team of 5-7 researchers in developing quantum software solutions targeting 2026 industrial applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuits for next-generation processors
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders
- Secure $2M+ in research grants and publish findings in top-tier journals
- Develop intellectual property portfolio with 5+ patent applications annually
- Present research findings at international quantum computing conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record developing quantum algorithms on real quantum hardware
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong publication record in Nature/Science/IEEE journals
- Experience managing cross-functional research teams and budgets
- Familiarity with quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical research into commercial applications
