Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography and optimization applications
- Direct 10+ person research team and publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually
- Design fault-tolerant quantum systems targeting 2026 scalability milestones
- Secure $5M+ in government and industry research grants
- Partner with NASA, IBM, and MIT on quantum supremacy initiatives
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish quantum computing curriculum
- Drive patent strategy for core quantum IP portfolio
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years hands-on quantum computing research with published papers
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Proven track record leading technical teams and securing research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware integration
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
