Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems

- Develop quantum algorithms for machine learning applications
- Secure $5M+ in DOE/NIST research grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory
- Author peer-reviewed publications for Nature Physics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics or Computational Physics (post-doc preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum hardware experience with superconducting systems
- Expertise in Python/C++ with quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Deep understanding of quantum cryptography standards (NIST PQC candidates)
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams
- Active DOE/NIST grant management experience
