Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical applications in cryptography and optimization
- Manage a multidisciplinary team of quantum physicists and software engineers
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and quantum hardware providers
- Translate theoretical quantum research into patentable commercial solutions
- Develop roadmaps for quantum advantage in enterprise computing environments
- Secure and manage R&D funding from government and private sector sources
- Publish peer-reviewed research and represent Nexus at international quantum conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in quantum algorithm implementation on real hardware
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research grants (DARPA, NSF)
- Experience leading technical teams of 10+ researchers
- Published work in top quantum computing journals (Nature Quantum, PRL)
- Familiarity with quantum cloud platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, Amazon Braket)
