Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise deployment
- Secure $5M+ in research funding through NIH/NSF grants and industry partnerships
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/ACM conferences
- Advise C-suite executives on quantum adoption strategies
- Drive ethical frameworks for quantum technology implementation
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (required)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Experience leading R&D teams with budget oversight
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Track record of commercializing quantum technologies
