Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography and AI
- Lead a cross-functional team of 5-7 quantum physicists and software engineers
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners to develop 2026-ready quantum solutions
- Secure $2M+ in research grants and patents for novel quantum methodologies
- Present breakthrough findings at premier industry conferences (QCE, IEEE)
- Maintain compliance with NIST quantum security standards
- Drive open-source contributions to quantum programming frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science journals on quantum algorithms
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of leading technical teams through complex projects
- Strong background in error correction and quantum decoherence mitigation
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DOE)
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy thresholds
