Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex problem-solving in finance, logistics, and drug discovery
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists in quantum system development
- Drive quantum hardware-software integration projects targeting 1000+ qubit scalability
- Secure $2M+ in government and private research funding through compelling proposals
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at global quantum summits
- Mentor junior researchers and establish quantum computing curriculum partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in quantum algorithm development (Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience securing DoE/DARPA or NSF quantum research grants
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
