Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex computational problems
- Optimize qubit coherence times and error correction protocols
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into practical solutions
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with hardware teams to define next-generation quantum processor specifications
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with exceptional experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proficiency in linear algebra, quantum mechanics principles, and computational complexity
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, QCE)
- Expertise in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
