Responsibilities
- Architect quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography, drug discovery, and climate modeling
- Design hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks optimized for 2026's technological landscape
- Lead cross-functional teams of quantum physicists and software engineers in prototype development
- Establish industry standards for quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop patent-pending quantum machine learning models for predictive analytics
- Collaborate with NASA and DARPA on quantum-encrypted satellite communication systems
- Present breakthrough research at IEEE Quantum Week and World Economic Forum summits
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent industry experience)
- 5+ years designing quantum algorithms with demonstrated impact on commercial applications
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit optimization
- Published research in Nature Physics or IEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering
- Proficiency in cryogenic engineering and superconducting quantum hardware
- Experience with quantum cloud platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Track record of securing >$10M in quantum computing research grants
