Responsibilities
- Design quantum computing architectures optimized for 2026-era applications in drug discovery and materials science
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise deployment
- Lead quantum algorithm optimization for NISQ-era processors
- Establish quantum security protocols resistant to future cryptographic threats
- Collaborate with hardware teams on qubit coherence enhancement techniques
- Create quantum computing SDKs and development environments for external partners
- Present architectural blueprints to CTO councils and government research panels
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Computational Mathematics with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum annealing and gate-model architectures
- Proven track record of scaling quantum systems beyond 100-qubit thresholds
- Familiarity with quantum cloud platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Security clearance or willingness to obtain government-level quantum security certification
