Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Develop error correction protocols for 1000+ qubit quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize cryogenic control systems
- Create quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing quantum-resistant encryption standards
- Present breakthrough research at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Quantum conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Expertise in superconducting qubit manipulation and cryogenic systems
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Experience with quantum hardware startups or national labs preferred
