Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum circuits and error-corrected architectures for 1000+ qubit systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead integration of quantum accelerators into existing cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with hardware teams on cryogenic control systems and photonic interconnects
- Present quantum roadmaps to C-suite executives and federal research partners
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum programming principles (Q#, Qiskit)
- Secure patents for novel quantum error correction methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years implementing quantum algorithms on real hardware (IBM, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum machine learning frameworks (PennyLane, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Active Q# or Qiskit contributor with open-source quantum projects
- Top-secret clearance or ability to obtain (for government contract work)
