Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting and photonic qubit systems
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-classical hybrid workflows
- Create quantum algorithms for real-world applications in logistics and drug discovery
- Lead security assessments for quantum-resistant encryption systems
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Present quantum computing roadmaps to C-suite stakeholders and investors
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing architecture or high-performance computing
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerance methodologies
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Cirq, Qiskit, Q#)
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and photonic processors
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex quantum concepts to non-technical audiences
- Security clearance preferred for government projects
