Responsibilities
- Design quantum processor architectures with fault-tolerant qubit configurations
- Develop quantum error correction codes and coherence optimization strategies
- Simulate quantum systems to validate hardware designs and performance benchmarks
- Collaborate with cryogenic engineering teams to integrate quantum control systems
- Lead research on hybrid quantum-classical computing paradigms
- Translate quantum algorithms into practical implementations for enterprise clients
- Author technical whitepapers and patents for quantum computing innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field (MS + 8+ years experience considered)
- 5+ years designing quantum hardware or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with quantum simulation tools (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering and quantum control systems
