Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum machine learning algorithms for 2026-era computational challenges
- Lead cross-functional research teams in developing hybrid quantum-classical neural networks
- Optimize quantum error correction protocols for large-scale AI model training
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum processors optimized for AI workloads
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present findings at international conferences
- Secure research grants and partnerships with leading academic institutions
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing principles and AI integration techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Computer Science, or Physics with 5+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks and algorithm development
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, or Cirq) and classical AI frameworks
- Published research in quantum computing or AI, with preference for Nature/Science journals
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding ($500k+ preferred)
- Strong background in computational complexity theory and quantum information theory
