Responsibilities
- Manage patient check-in/check-out processes with accuracy and empathy
- Handle multi-line phone systems and route calls to appropriate departments
- Maintain secure patient records using EMR systems
- Coordinate with clinical staff for urgent after-hours requests
- Process insurance verifications and collect co-payments
- Prepare daily reports and manage office supplies inventory
- Ensure reception area remains clean and organized throughout shift
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years receptionist or customer service experience
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic/Meditech preferred)
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
