Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum machine learning architectures for 2026-era applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, data scientists, and engineers on high-stakes research projects
- Develop proprietary quantum optimization algorithms with 1000+ qubit scalability
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from government and industry partners
- Pioneer ethical frameworks for autonomous quantum decision systems
- Author breakthrough publications in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor PhD researchers and patent 5+ core technologies annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, or Computational Physics
- 5+ years experience with quantum algorithm development (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier journals with >100 citations
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum error correction
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks
- Strong background in Python, TensorFlow Quantum, and cloud quantum services
- Experience leading technical teams of 10+ researchers
