Responsibilities
- Analyze global megatrends, disruptive technologies, and socio-economic indicators to forecast 2026+ market opportunities
- Develop scenario-based strategic frameworks for quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Author forward-looking white papers and thought leadership for industry conferences
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
- Present future-vision roadmaps to executive stakeholders and board members
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate an organization-wide innovation culture
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field; PhD preferred
- 10+ years in strategic innovation or futurist roles within tech/consulting
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep knowledge of emerging tech: quantum computing, AGI, neurotech, and climate AI
- Exceptional data storytelling skills with experience presenting to C-suite audiences
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or foresight academy)
- Published work in peer-reviewed futures or innovation journals
- Portfolio demonstrating impact on multi-year strategic initiatives
