- Analyze emerging global trends, patent landscapes, and socio-cultural shifts to identify disruptive opportunities
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' with engineers, designers, and domain experts to prototype breakthrough concepts
- Present strategic foresight reports to the board and C-suite with actionable recommendations
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and government agencies to accelerate innovation
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal culture of future-oriented thinking
- Author white papers and thought leadership pieces for industry publications
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futurism roles at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercialized products or market entries
- Expertise in scenario planning, technology adoption curves, and systemic risk assessment
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional communication skills for executive presentations and stakeholder alignment
- Published author or keynote speaker on future trends and innovation strategy
- Experience with data-driven foresight tools (e.g., Delphi methods, horizon scanning)
