This role demands a blend of analytical rigor and creative foresight, requiring you to anticipate societal shifts, technological disruptions, and market evolutions. You'll lead cross-functional initiatives in our San Francisco hub, leveraging our state-of-the-art incubation facilities and partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and NASA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026+ strategic roadmaps for AI, biotech, and quantum computing integration
- Lead scenario-planning workshops for Fortune 500 clients on future market landscapes
- Produce annual 'Future State' reports with actionable insights for global stakeholders
- Manage a $5M innovation portfolio for emerging technology prototyping
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and government agencies
- Mentor a team of 5 futurist analysts and technology scouts
- Present at Davos, CES, and World Economic Forums as company thought leader
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic consulting, R&D, or technology foresight roles
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Published white papers on exponential technologies (AI/quantum/biotech)
- Experience with horizon scanning and weak signal analysis methodologies
- Proficiency in futures simulation tools (e.g., Causal Layered Analysis)
- Track record advising C-suite on 5-10 year strategic pivots
- Fluency in at least one predictive modeling framework
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ future-focused commercialized innovations
