Responsibilities
- Analyze horizon-scanning data from 30+ sources to forecast technological and societal trends through 2030
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for disruptive forces (e.g., AGI adoption, climate tech breakthroughs)
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align teams on future-state strategies
- Author quarterly '2026 Vision Briefs' for executive decision-making
- Identify partnership opportunities with emerging tech startups and research institutions
- Advose on ethical implications of emerging technologies
- Present strategic roadmaps to board members and industry conferences
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging tech analysis
- Proven track record of publishing future-oriented research (whitepapers, books, TED talks)
- Expertise in at least two of: AI governance, quantum computing, biotechnology, or climate tech
- Experience with horizon-scanning methodologies (e.g., Delphi method, weak signal analysis)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant technical field
- Portfolio demonstrating trend prediction accuracy (minimum 3 validated forecasts)
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston)
