Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 5-10 year strategic foresight frameworks using horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate future insights into product development and market positioning
- Produce high-impact foresight reports and executive briefings on emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Design and facilitate innovation workshops for C-suite executives and board members
- Establish strategic partnerships with futurist networks, think tanks, and academic research institutions
- Monitor geopolitical, economic, and technological megatrends affecting industry evolution
- Champion ethical innovation principles while navigating disruptive market shifts
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years in strategy consulting, corporate innovation, or futurist research with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and trend forecasting methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation (white papers, articles, books)
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFMP, APF, or equivalent preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful future strategy implementation
