Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning research to identify emerging technologies and societal trends through 2030
- Develop speculative prototypes and innovation roadmaps for 2026-2028 product launches
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into technical requirements
- Author white papers and thought leadership on future of AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Advise executive team on ethical implications of emerging technologies and regulatory frameworks
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Mentor junior futurists and innovation specialists in speculative design methodologies
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Published research on exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Expertise in scenario planning, speculative design, and technology roadmapping
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into executable business strategies
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in tech or Fortune 500 environments
- Strong network of futurists, technologists, and innovation thought leaders
