Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year innovation roadmaps aligned with 2026 technological inflection points
- Lead quantum/AI research initiatives to create market-disrupting products
- Partner with VPs of Engineering to prototype next-gen human-computer interfaces
- Analyze emerging tech trends (neurotech, synthetic biology) for competitive advantage
- Present strategic futures to investors and executive stakeholders
- Manage $2M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused KPIs
- Mentor junior futurists through horizon-scanning methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation or R&D leadership within tech/finance
- Published thought leadership on 2026+ tech trends (IEEE/HBR preferred)
- Expertise in at least 3 emerging domains: quantum computing, AGI, or neurotech
- Track record of launching products with $50M+ market impact
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Physics, or Futures Studies
- Proficiency in horizon scanning tools (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Experience with venture capital due diligence for deep-tech startups
