Responsibilities
- Architect 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and emerging scientific breakthroughs
- Lead cross-functional teams of PhD researchers, engineers, and business analysts
- Identify and evaluate disruptive technologies through patent analysis and academic partnerships
- Develop implementation strategies for breakthrough innovations with ROI projections
- Present strategic vision to C-suite executives and board of directors
- Secure $50M+ annual R&D budget through compelling business cases
- Mentor junior strategists and publish industry thought leadership
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years at Fortune 500 or unicorn startup
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven track record launching technologies with $100M+ market impact
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum, AI, biotech, or climate tech
- Exceptional financial modeling skills with experience in R&D budget allocation
- Published author or speaker at top-tier tech conferences (TED, Web Summit, etc.)
- Fluency in Mandarin and/or Arabic for global stakeholder engagement
