Responsibilities
- Architect 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with emerging market trends and industry disruptions
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate breakthrough technologies in AI, quantum computing, and sustainable systems
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with potential 2026 market impact
- Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions and research labs
- Present innovation portfolios to executive leadership and investors
- Mentor technical teams in future-focused design thinking methodologies
- Drive patent strategy for proprietary technologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging tech development
- Proven track record of launching innovative products with $50M+ market impact
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with horizon scanning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies preferred
- Experience scaling innovation teams in high-growth environments
