Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligning with 2026 industry forecasts
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen AI and quantum solutions
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies (e.g., neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology)
- Partner with product teams to commercialize breakthrough innovations
- Establish ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and biotech applications
- Secure $10M+ in innovation grants and venture partnerships
- Mentor a 15-person R&D division in emerging tech methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Proven track record of launching scalable tech products
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism
- Published research in IEEE Nature or similar tier-1 journals
- Experience securing federal innovation grants (SBIR/NIH)
- Certified in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Portfolio of 3+ commercialized tech innovations
