Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive 5-year technology strategy aligning with market forecasts for 2026
- Lead cross-functional teams in researching and prototyping emerging technologies (quantum AI, neuromorphic computing, etc.)
- Analyze global tech trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions
- Present strategic vision to C-suite executives and board members with compelling data-driven narratives
- Build partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry leaders for innovation scouting
- Oversee R&D budget allocation for future-focused initiatives with measurable ROI
- Mentor senior engineers and product managers on future technology adoption pathways
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or innovation management
- Proven track record in forecasting tech trends and developing multi-year roadmaps
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, AI ethics, sustainable tech, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Exceptional analytical skills with experience in scenario planning and risk assessment
- Strong executive presence with experience presenting to C-suite and boards
- Published thought leadership or patents in emerging technologies preferred
- Experience scaling technology teams in fast-paced environments
