Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market trends and organizational goals
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies (quantum computing, neural interfaces, etc.) with transformative potential
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Establish KPI frameworks to measure ROI of experimental technologies and strategic pivots
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Build partnerships with research institutions and venture labs for early-stage tech access
- Drive adoption of agile methodologies for rapid iteration of future-concept products
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with proven impact on future-oriented initiatives
- Deep expertise in emerging tech domains (AI, biotech, space tech, or climate tech)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with focus on future studies
- Track record of launching at least two commercially successful technology innovations
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to model complex systems and predict outcomes
- Certification in Technology Foresight, Strategic Innovation Management, or equivalent
- Experience presenting to executive audiences and translating technical concepts to business value
- Portfolio demonstrating strategic technology roadmaps or innovation frameworks
