Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging domains including quantum computing and AI ethics
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering and product teams
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify breakthrough technologies with commercial potential
- Develop patent strategies and intellectual property frameworks for novel innovations
- Present strategic visions to C-suite executives and board members
- Partner with venture capital teams to evaluate emerging technology investments
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Strategic Innovation (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 scale
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two future-tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- Certification in futures thinking or strategic foresight methodologies
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed technology journals
- Experience securing $1M+ budgets for experimental technology initiatives
- Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive audiences
