Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, biotech interfaces) with 3-5 year impact projections
- Develop and maintain the 2026 technology roadmap, prioritizing R&D investments based on market analysis and competitive intelligence
- Architect cross-functional innovation initiatives bridging hardware, software, and biotech domains
- Present strategic technology briefings to executive leadership and board members with data-backed recommendations
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and startups to accelerate technology adoption
- Monitor global regulatory shifts affecting emerging technologies and advise on compliance strategies
- Mentor junior innovation specialists while fostering a culture of experimental learning
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred
- Minimum 8 years in strategic technology planning with 3+ years in emerging tech forecasting
- Proven track record translating futuristic concepts into commercial products (portfolio required)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (e.g., quantum algorithms, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Experience with scenario planning frameworks and technology adoption lifecycle models
- Exceptional communication skills for presenting complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Published thought leadership in technology strategy or innovation management
