Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and technology forecasting for 2026+ trends across AI, quantum computing, biotech, and sustainable tech
- Develop strategic roadmaps integrating emerging technologies into core business operations
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify first-mover advantages
- Collaborate with R&D and product teams to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board stakeholders
- Build and maintain an ecosystem of innovation partners, startups, and academic institutions
- Establish KPIs for technology adoption and measure ROI on innovation initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in strategic technology planning or innovation management
- Proven track record of forecasting tech trends and translating them into business value
- Expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI/ML, quantum, blockchain, AR/VR)
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research methodologies with data-driven decision making
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Experience scaling technology strategies in enterprise environments (>$500M revenue)
- Deep network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystem and venture capital community
