Responsibilities
- Architect 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligning with market disruption forecasts
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum, biotech, AGI) for commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions with global impact
- Develop competitive advantage frameworks through patent strategy and IP monetization
- Present futuristic visions to investors and board members securing $50M+ annual R&D budget
- Partner with academia (MIT, Stanford) to accelerate research-to-market pipelines
- Establish ethical innovation guidelines for autonomous systems and AI governance
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech roles with Fortune 500 or unicorn-scale companies
- Proven track record launching market-defining technologies (3+ case studies)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or AGI
- Executive-level communication with ability to articulate complex futures to non-technical stakeholders
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist studies
- Published thought leadership in IEEE Nature or similar tier-1 journals
