Responsibilities
- Scan horizon for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, synthetic biology) and assess commercial viability
- Develop 5-10 year technology strategy aligned with company vision and market disruption
- Lead R&D partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
- Present strategic recommendations to executive board and stakeholders
- Oversee implementation of pilot programs for breakthrough technologies
- Build and mentor a high-performing innovation lab team
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging tech commercialization
- Proven track record of launching at least two disruptive tech products
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI ethics, quantum applications, or biotech integration
- Experience developing multi-year tech roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Future Studies preferred
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism journals
