Responsibilities
- Research and analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) to identify disruptive opportunities
- Develop comprehensive 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in executing prototype development and pilot programs
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and investors
- Patent novel technology frameworks and methodologies
- Monitor global tech trends and competitive landscapes
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused allocation
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and research labs
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in executive leadership
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough technologies (patents/portfolio required)
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, quantum, blockchain, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience presenting to C-suite executives and board members
- Strong financial acumen with innovation budget management ($5M+)
- Published thought leadership in tech strategy or innovation
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies
