Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, neurotech, etc.)
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 5-year strategic technology roadmap aligned with business objectives
- Conduct competitive intelligence and market disruption assessments
- Partner with engineering teams to evaluate technical feasibility of next-gen innovations
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Manage technology incubation initiatives for breakthrough concepts
- Establish KPIs for innovation success and track ROI on emerging tech investments
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or corporate innovation roles
- Proven track record identifying and capitalizing on emerging tech trends
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging technology domains
- Experience with scenario planning and strategic foresight methodologies
- Exceptional analytical skills with data-driven decision making
- Strong presentation skills for executive audiences
- Advanced degree in Technology Management, Business, or related field
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation or future studies
