Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum, AI ethics, biotech convergence)
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate futuristic solutions
- Analyze global tech trends and competitive landscapes to identify disruptive opportunities
- Partner with C-suite to align innovation initiatives with business objectives
- Secure $2M+ annual R&D budgets through data-driven investment proposals
- Present strategic visions to executive boards and venture capital partners
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning, futurism, or innovation management
- Proven track record scaling disruptive technologies from concept to market
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, AI, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Strong financial modeling skills for tech ROI forecasting
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies
- Published thought leadership in tech journals or industry conferences
