Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 2026+ technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead research in frontier technologies (quantum computing, neurotech, sustainable AI)
- Partner with product teams to integrate emerging innovations into core offerings
- Present strategic tech forecasts to executive stakeholders and investors
- Build and mentor a specialized future-tech incubation team
- Drive industry thought leadership through whitepapers and conference keynotes
- Manage $5M+ annual R&D budget for experimental technologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech planning with 3+ years in emerging tech
- Proven track record in scaling SaaS or hardware products
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, or climate tech
- Executive-level experience in Fortune 500 or Series B+ startups
- Published research or patents in future-facing technologies
- MBA or MS in Computer Science/Engineering from top-tier institution
- Deep network with VCs and academic research institutions
